1999 - BILL SAMETH sued CHER, claiming she owed him a 15 percent manager's fee from the proceeds of her hit single, Believe. He claims to have orchestrated Cher's big comeback.

1970 – DIANA ROSS opened her first outing as a solo performer in Framingham, MA.

1968 - The Fillmore East opened in New York City on 2nd Avenue.

1962 - THE BEATLES performed for the first time on the BBC in Great Britain. The show was Teenager's Turn.
