Citadel Broadcasting Company has an immediate opening for a Program Director with vision to take County station 96.9 The Wolf, to the top in Charleston, SC. Are you a Program Director who can come in with a clear vision of the strategic opportunities and understand the importance of making things happen when executing “The Plan”? If you are a progressive thinker and team player that can guide and motivate your staff by example, we want to talk with you. Successful programming experience and strong on-air skills are required for this position.
General Responsibilities: · Creates and supervises on-air structure and presentation · Oversees music rotation, testing and play list development · Develops marketing strategies and contests to grow ratings · Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and schedules on-air personnel · Provides regular coaching and performance feedback to staff · Develops and manages annual departmental budget Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations · Understanding of market/product research · Computer literacy in applicable programs · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing · Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels · Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines · Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting and other related production equipment Interested applicants should send station composite, air check, resume, references and programming philosophy to: Charleston.info@citcomm.com Citadel Broadcasting Company is an equal opportunity employer.
